[Highlighted Changes]

[Neuroforge]

  • Added the Turboforge feature to Neuroforging.
    • Using the Turboforge feature, you can spend Bindomite during the process of Neuroforging to add xtraForge levels to every available Neuroforge roll option before you choose an option.
    • There is a maximum amount of additional forges you can add, costing different amounts of Bindomite depending on the quality of the item.
    • For example, if you were attempting to Neuroforge an Exotic item which would normally only allow 1 choice, using 10 Bindomite up to a maximum of 4 times will allow you to Neuroforge a total of 5 times with only a single item consumed, greatly increasing the mileage of a single item copy!
    • Exalted and Legendary items retain their base 2 Neuroforge attempts.
    • Turboforges are only available for 48 hours after a Neuroforge is performed. If you save your Neuroforge roll and want to Turboforge it, make sure to do so before the timer expires.
  • Sterwyn Aervin now has a chance to directly drop a Legendary Bindobooster!
    • Legendary Bindoboosters can be used on any item that can be neuroforged in place of an item copy.
    • Legendary Bindoboosters decay on universe reset.
    • Legendary bindoboosters will only be available from the current hardest boss. When a new boss comes out, the Bindobooster drop may move to it if it is more difficult than the previous hardest boss.

[Magcannon Changes]

  • All Magcannon weapons have had their stats changed.
    • Increased damage, weight, size, visibility and energy cost across the board. Details listed below the patch notes

[Solar Panels]

  • Solar panels now benefit from Energy Charge.

[Next Universe Changes]

  • Starting next uni C&C will be on permanent tractor disruption when in an unowned galaxy. With a message explaining it when the tractor is attempted.
  • Fixed Bule Outposts dropping a Bule Mentallity Blueprint which is an item renamer for Bule Mentality Blueprint.
  • prevent base thrusters from working on ownership kits in unowned galaxies (wont apply till next uni)
  • Dungeon Shadow Turtles have been updated from level ~420 to 700. Roaming Shadow Turtles are weaker and will remain at their original level. No stat changes were made.
  • The Overlord, a more powerful Nephil found in dungeons, has had some changes made to both difficulty versions of its spawners:
    • The lower difficulty spawners will receive -50% Shield Max and Damage and -34% Knockback. They will remain limited to a spawncap of 4 per room and have been reduced from level 850 to 750.
    • The higher difficulty spawners will receive -34% Shield Max and Damage.
  • Micron changes with new universe:
    • Micron race track separated into multiple gals to make it easier and clearer to go through.
    • Race track no longer allows bots or warp beacons to be deployed.
    • Wormholes and keysync spawn positions can no longer be obstructed by gremlin drones. If they spawn too close, they will be destroyed automatically.
    • Keysync spawn position is now marked by a targetable nebula and the debris is named as what it is. Respawn time reduced to 1 second.
  • Barbe Rouge is now a rift boss, with the rift wormhole starting with the second of three gals in Tortuga.
  • Tortuga’s wormhole to Barbe Rouge’s Antechamber has been moved to the east and is now guarded by two Stalker ambushers who must be killed to unlock the wormhole forward.
  • Removed two of the six Stalkers from Barbe Rouge’s Antechamber, these were aura-only without weapons and didn’t fit in with the more modern wormhole unlock system of killing AI to unlock.
  • The three Cruiser AI in Barbe Rouge’s Hideout will no longer respawn.
  • Topaz Eye Jimmy and Barbe Bleu bosses in Blue Outpost have been moved into rifts.
  • Updated wormhole sizes throughout the Serengeti to match normal sizes.
  • Removed old debris spawners from the Serengeti zone entrance as their Neural Keysyncs are no longer required to progress.
  • Lord Mulligan in both Earthforce Space and Perilous Space will now:
    • No longer attack other AI, nor any of its spawns will either. They will now especially hate the player that killed the original Zebucart.
    • Better disguise themselves as normal Zebucart traders. The biggest change is their ‘Martyr’ Zebucart that spawns them and can now use the Zebucart Mark 2 skin.
    • The Zebucart ‘martyr’ that spawns Lord Mulligan has been set to be immune to Radiation Damage to prevent Lord Mulligan from failing to spawn upon the ‘martyr’s’ death.
    • Always spawn up to 10 Zebu Scouts instead of a maximum of 1 under certain conditions.
    • No longer spam the Advanced Blockade and Swifty-Spry Onslaught superitems throughout the fight, instead only using them during its intended phases.
    • Function properly after respawning from its first death.
    • Despawn after 25 minutes.
    • Respawn significantly faster.
    • Roam properly at the same Danger Factor range as the Zebucart ‘martyr’ they spawn from, previously they were only able to jump to a new gal if it was Danger Factor 300.
    • Spawn waves of Zebuceptors and Zebucops.
    • Space out its spawned minions, as well as spawn from afar when the Zebucart ‘martyr’ is killed.
    • Lord Mulligan and its minions will now use spawn/despawn effects.
    • Only spawn Zebu Scouts when no enemy players are in the gal.
  • Two of the Angry Seraph AI in Penance of Absolution have been converted into Amnesty AI, which are upgraded Absolution AI used as guards for Cardinal Bellarmine.
  • The wormhole to Judgement from Penance now requires killing at least three guards to progress, from its original requirement of a Gabriel’s Neurolich commodity as a key.
  • The wormhole to Penance from Absolution now spawns two Angry Seraph AI as ambushers to kill to progress, from its original requirement of a Solar Cleansings commodity as a key.
  • The Subspace Anomalies in LACS S1018 and LACS S1138 can no longer be clipped through, ships will now travel over them properly.
  • Anatolia now additionally stuns any ships that leave the center, at the same range as the Shield Charge debuff and environmental damage effects.
  • Fixed Ancient Asteroid Being giving a 24 hour lockout starting upon the time of kill instead of being part of the fixed 24 hour reset timer.
  • Asteroid drops throughout Prism Empires have been removed save for anything useful or specially designed for fights.
  • Fire Opal missile crates from Orange and Purple Empire in Prism Empires are now more consistent to acquire from wreckages, instead of half the wreckages giving Metals or Silicon instead.
  • Renamed the ‘Rift to Juxtaposition’ in Paxius back to its original name ‘Interdimensional Rift’ to match its mission appearance name.
  • Cybernetic Gonzales now shouts the name of the target that killed her.

[Content Changes]

[Earthforce Space]

  • Fixed Goblin Controller mission item dropping from Doc Goblin in Protoplasmica, which would get immediately deleted as it isn’t intended to drop and is not used for anything.
  • Halved the distances, spawn trigger radii, aura ranges, and visual effect sizes of most things inside of the Serengeti’s miniboss rooms.
  • The Great Rift star in Great Rift Valley before the Lion boss room will no longer inflict -10%/-25%/-50% speed to all nearby ships. This also means the Lions will no longer be slowed by it either.
  • Reduced Micron race count to train Engines to 20 from five races to one. A new repeatable practice race has been added for the ability to improve one’s best time at Micron.
  • Micron no longer requires a key to access the blue race track.
  • Standardized Serengeti Giant Space Alien ambush spawners throughout the rifts for a respawn time of 60 seconds and updating a few of the rooms to move away from the old-style ‘one per direction’ ambush spawners and instead a single omni-directional ambush spawner.
  • Removed unpolished dust cloud visual effect from middle of Zebra boss Prince Ar’hath Rhak’kai’s arena when on Very High graphics settings.
  • Doubled the size of the lightning effects in Panther boss Princess Takhagha Rhak’kai’s arena.
  • Fixed broken name on one of the Active Volcano AI in Corrupted Guardian’s arena Crater Highland.
  • Made the debuff auras in Rhino boss High Vizir Rakhnis Grahad’rhi’s arena visible as purple nebulae. Increased their Shield Recharge and Energy Recharge debuffs from -50 to -500 to make them more impactful with modern player stats and decreased the range of all but the central nebula slightly so their ranges can be consistent with one another for their visual size.
  • Asteroid drops throughout the Serengeti have been removed save for anything specially designed for fights.
  • Zebra Prince boss arena asteroids with the tweak drop now have a yellow tone and emit particles to mark them out as special.
  • Asteroids in the Panther miniboss room have been centered from their north-west spawning area.

[Perilous Space]

  • Unstable Hephaestus Drones have been standardized from 2 minutes to 3 minutes for lifespan.

[Kalthi Depths]

  • Fixed all wild Kalthi not spawned by Kalthi (Armored/Wrathful) Commanders not giving experience when killed.
  • Asteroid drops throughout the Twisted zone have been removed save for anything specially designed for fights.
  • Optimized Twisted asteroids to have 1/8th as many particles as they previously had, which will also prevent them from occasionally ‘running out’ of particle budget and losing their trails intermittently.
  • Twisted Nikola drones have been standardized from 30 minutes to 3 minutes for lifespan.
  • Twisted Nikola now has a new set of four “Scavenged” drones that can be obtained instead of his drones from the arena’s asteroids, being identical to the original Twisted drones but having 1/4th the energy cost and as before being unscoopable and decaying upon jumping out. This change will also allow the drones to better remain in-line over time as the original nikola drones were very different from the player-obtainable versions.
  • Twisted Nikola’s new “Scavenged” drones can drop 1-3 per asteroid instead of only 1, and each of the four drone asteroids has 7.5x greater chance to spawn than before.
  • Twisted Nikola’s new “Scavenged” drone asteroids have lightning effects around them and a trail of smoke to better help them stand out as something of interest.
  • Twisted Nikola drone asteroids now have appropriate sizes for their drone visuals/drops.

[Subspace Dimension]

  • The Bila Akara Subspace rift for Engine 22 boss Adhara Akara has had its environmental damage effects restored for the two miniboss rooms. The first wormhole you enter through will now properly give heat resistance as well, protecting you if the rift has been open for more than a few moments and the mobile wormholes inside have already flown off.
  • Zarkara Adhara (Equipment 22) will now directly drop the Hantr Psu, Raurava Bhava, and Zarkara Sattva augmenters currently at a 33.3% chance for one augmenter to be picked to drop.
    • The minibosses will no longer drop the augmenters. To compensate for the augmenter removal, Hantr and Raurava have been given overall shield and damage buffs to increase their difficulty and better match Zarkara.
    • This removes the incentive to use surgical damage or train the piracy skill to increase your odds for these boss drops, which optimally would have been slightly less than the new chances, as well as removing the need to lock players out for killing the minibosses. The Zarkara Sattva augmenter was also broken and not dropping for a long time now, this fixes it as well.
    • Removed Radar boss’s missile launchers from dropping from the Equipment boss, replaced with the augmenters.
  • The following missions in Subspace have had level or difficulty changes (the missions will be offered at more appropriate levels now, difficulty is the max level you can be before you receive reduced experience rewards):
    • Lyceum mission chain had its max level of 9999 removed.
    • Report to the Allied Front has had its minimum level boosted from 500 to 1500.
    • Equipment 22 for the boss kill was mistakenly set to difficulty 1000 instead of 2000, fixed to give the same amount of experience as the rest.
    • Bhinna Avapata mission chain with the UrQa changed from minimum level 1000 and difficulty 1500 to 1500 and 2000 respectively.
    • The Allied Offensive changed from minimum level 500 and difficulty 2000 to 1500 and 3000 respectively.
    • Pajca Allied Defense Orders changed from minimum level 1000 and difficulty 1500 to 1500 and 2000 respectively.
  • Subspace DNA Extraction Beams have been increased from extracting 4 DNA per alien to 5. This brings the required number of AI to extract DNA from to build a fully grown Aveksaka ship from 13 Sahvitra eggs, 7 nascent forms, and 7 adult forms down to 10 Sahvitra eggs, 5 nascent forms, and 5 adult forms.
  • Subspace DNA Extraction Beams no longer automatically shut off until all five DNA has been extracted from a valid target, at which point it will immediately deactivate and inform the user that the target has had all DNA successfully extracted.
  • Subspace DNA Extraction Beams will now immediately deactivate and warn the user if any validity checks fail, and in a specific order to be more helpful:
    • If the target is valid for tractoring but is not a ship: “DNA extraction beams can only be used on alien ships.”
    • If the target is a valid alien ship but is player-owned: “You can only use this DNA extraction beam on non-player-owned ships.”
    • If the target is otherwise an invalid ship: “Invalid hull type for DNA extraction, valid aliens can be found in the Pajca and Sas regions of the Subspace Dimension.”
    • If the target has no DNA remaining: “This alien has already had its DNA extracted.”
    • If the user has no free hull space: “Insufficient hull space to extract DNA from this alien.”
  • Janayitriadhara (Tractoring 22) will now despawn all bombs when vulnerable at the end of the fight, and cannot be killed until they’ve been despawned. This should prevent any remaining cases of bombs killing the boss and denying players the kill credit (meaning no loot dropped).
  • Fixed Janayitriadhara’s (Tractoring 22) damage and rate of fire being low, increased the shields on the Paxian Bombs to compensate.
  • Reduced Janayitriadhara’s (Tractoring 22) shielding by 2/3rds, making the fight significantly faster.
  • Removed startup from the music in Janayitriadhara (Tractoring 22) arena, as there’s no miniboss rooms to go through prior.
  • Halaraksa Chid Adiz Mardana Var drones from DD22 Subspace boss have been standardized from 25 minutes to 3 minutes for lifespan.

[Red Outpost]

  • Sterwyn Aervin’s Legendary item drops now have individual chances to drop, meaning it is possible for more than one to drop and players have more chances to obtain an item.
  • Red Rogue Reavers and Carmine have had a visual added to their barrage attack to help players better see the incoming attack under chaotic conditions.

[Misc. Content Changes]

  • Neurobound Exotic Celestial Gear no longer requires modules.
  • The following AI-only debuff effects have been converted from negative Shield Bank to positive Vulnerability to All:
    • -10% Shield Bank to +10% Vulnerability to All for roaming Pax Astronomica AI, Barbe Noire, Captain Albatross, Captain Bartholomew Roberts, Dark Curse, Nathaniel Courthope, Sputty Nutty, and Vigilante.
    • -20% to -60% Shield Bank to +20% to +60% Vulnerability to All for the six roaming Earthforce capital ship AI from Frigate to Dreadnought.
    • -20%/-70% Shield Bank to +20%/+70% Vulnerability to All for Brute Force depending on distance.
    • -25% Shield Bank to +25% Vulnerability to All for Doom Guard.
    • -25%/-40% Shield Bank to +25%/+40% Vulnerability to All for Dark Doom Guard depending on distance.
    • -50% Shield Bank to +50% Vulnerability to All for Guardian of the Lyceum, Corrupted Guardian, and High Vizir Rakhnis Grahad’rhi (Rhino boss).
    • -75% Shield Bank to +75% Vulnerability to All for Astro-Grinch.
  • The following AI-only debuff effects have been converted from negative Energy Bank to positive Electric Tempering (with magnitude multiplied by four):
    • -50% Energy Bank to +125% Electric Tempering for Doktor Kobaldstein and Dark Kobaldstein.
    • -75% Energy Bank to +187.5% Electric Tempering for Astro-Grinch.
    • -90% Energy Bank to +225% Electric Tempering for Copper Blob and Zeus’ final phase warhead effect.
  • Mad Expander Blueprint is now tech 18 to match its product.
  • The DogeAge ship has a new shiba-themed effect to replace its old electrified center effect carried over from the Ampage and Voltage ships its visual is based on. The original doge photo is unavailable for use due to copyright, so a new CC0 1.0 licensed Shiba Inu’s face is being used sourced from https://pixabay.com/photos/shiba-meadow-serious-sad-garden-2937639/
  • Added a new DogeAge Meme Drive engine to the DogeAge ship, complete with new particles and in-flight meme text straight from the good old days. Stats are based on the Nyan Power engine from the Nyan’s Reaver.
  • Many holoprojectors have been updated to be exotic or higher quality if permanent.
  • Added three new holoprojectors, recolored from Anniversary Server reward versions:
    • Aurora Hacker Holoprojector, from Matriarch Aurora
    • Empyreal Pillar Holoprojector, from Grand Empyreal Eclipse
    • UrQa Flurry Holoprojector, from UrQa’qa Vazuk Vo’kii (Bana King)
  • The following bosses had a fix recently applied to prevent them from spamming their initial and reset shouts repeatedly, which consequently broke their ability to reset. This fixes that, as well as applies the original fix properly:
    • Ancalagon the Black
    • Fallen Haraka
    • Fallen Kuhani
    • Haraka Station
    • Matriarch Aurora
    • UrQa’qa Vazuk Vo’kii
  • The following bosses will now clear parasites from their hull upon resetting their fight:
    • Fallen Haraka
    • Fallen Kuhani
    • Haraka Station
  • Callisto and Ganymede in Olympus are now the only required targets to kill to pass through Near Jupiter Orbit, the Zeus Henchmen no longer count towards blocking the wormhole forward.
  • Pan-Universal Neural Plasticizer spawners (Global Exp Boosts found floating in space) will now properly randomize their spawn location after being scooped instead of spawning in the same gal every single time.
  • Brute Force is once more impossible to survive a hit from. A single impact will always kill you, consider yourself warned. Seriously.

[Drone / Engineer Changes]

  • Repair Rejigger Drone Devices now apply an Advanced Blockade-like auratweak to the personal user’s drones within 1,000 range.
  • Heavy Repair Rejigger Drone Device charge time reduced from 120s to 60s to match the lower tech Repair Rejigger Drone Device.
  • Field Hospital and Repair Rejigger Drone Device superitems now have effect descriptions detailing how they work and feature a new visual effect for their auratweaks.
  • Temp drones will now keep firing even when an envelopment is in the way.

[Item Changes]

  • All Hands on Deck, the Pax Scutum super item, now applies +100% Transference Power to the player once again. In addition, it injects a nanite that reduces all other damage types to 0.
  • Added new Peacekeeper’s versions of the Empyreal Module blueprints, complete with separate tracker-sourced costs. These blueprints will be purchasable in Paxian Foothold.
  • collision hits are now considered “indirect damage”
  • Fixed the AeonLabs Station Industry Booster Blueprint only giving 1 worker, it now gives 299.
  • Updated Mini Madness effect info to state it also increases the user’s visibility by 300 for 2 seconds.
  • Fixed AeonLabs Building Academy Augmenter blueprints having 42,000 manhours instead of 1, these were the Resilience, Fortress, Cordon, and Guardian Z Augmenters.
  • removed the level requirement on the account for “Core Skills Neural Boost”
  • also removed it from “Master Neural Boost” and fixed both descriptions.
  • Updated the description of Celestial Reaching Empowerment Platform to correctly state that it reduces Damage for increased Range.
  • AeonLabs blueprints have had their dilution costs set to no longer provide discounts for mass building.
  • fix for an issue with stacked radioactive mod adding over 100% per stack.
  • made it so stacked items applying AugStats now apply in the same way as different stacks with the same AugStats.
  • Prismatic Conv Blueprint has been reduced from 40 size to 10.
  • Reduced Space Blue Alpha Blueprint cost for Blue Aether from 5 periodic to 3. Reduced Space Blue Alpha Advanced x1 Blueprint cost for Blue Aether from 10 periodic to 5. This smooths out the cost increases for the Space Blue ships, especially the Advanced x1 which requires an Interceptor to build.
  • Updated Dark Maelstrom’s Rocket(DMR) and Stygian Fist particles to be a lot brighter. DMR is now blue to match a lot of Infernal Darkness assets.

[Server / Systems Changes]

  • Blueprints with only 1 manhour now complete instantly, most notably the majority of AeonLabs blueprints will be affected by this.
  • Trade bot orders now include all items from tradebay you have access to in the current galaxy, instead of being limited only to commodities.
  • Players can now move up to 200 speed difference from solarbodies when placing stations from the original 100 speed difference.
  • All rifts are automatically set to open PvP now, allowing allied debuffs to work within them.
  • When a player dies without an escape pod, their spirit will now start at 0 speed matching escape pod behavior to prevent drifting out without noticing.
  • When an Epiphany is used over its maximum level limit, it will now state its maximum level in event chat instead of the level title belonging to that level. For example, it will now specify level 1,500 instead of level Meijin.
  • Fixed being unable to equip itemcookbook factories (currently only the Subspace Mining Compressor is applicable) when your ship has temporary drones equipped.
  • Added some small improvements to towing messages in event chat, including listing the remaining time when attempting to tow for a second time within 30 seconds and being on tow cooldown for up to 30 seconds remaining.
  • Stations that are both destroyed and starving will no longer repeatedly notify of starvation in the station logs. This will allow the logs to remain a lot less cluttered with what’s effectively useless information if the station was destroyed already.
  • Fixed the code behind spawn and despawn effects, previously only certain spawners had the effects functional. A lot of spawners throughout the early to midgame have been given spawn and despawn effects over the past year, this will allow them all to properly work.
  • Added AP links and fixed some incorrect terminology in the warnings for stations and permanent drones being too far from solarbodies.
  • Removed extra line break from Bindomite tooltip.
  • Energy boost items, currently the Lucius items from The Colosseum, will no longer display massive energy vulnerabilities in their tooltips.
  • Target Tracker directions will now have the first letter of each direction capitalized, with a hyphen between the two words if it’s an intercardinal direction. This should make it easier to identify at a glance.
  • Correctly fixed tractor beams deactivated by the target jumping to another gal causing the energy drain removal to be done on them instead of the source of the tractor.
  • Lifespan-limited trackers (currently the trackers for Angre and Gonzales dropped by them when they escape) will now correctly state their signal strength as time goes on. This begins with strong, then stable, moderate, weakening, flickering, and finally with less than 60 seconds remaining it will now say critical and inform the user they have less than a minute left to find the target.
  • Lifespan-limited trackers will no longer occasionally recalibrate with ~60 seconds remaining on their lifespan.
  • Added support for partial construction progress when the full workforce available may be too much for the limited periodic materials available and consequently halt construction. Full credit cost must still be present for partial construction to occur. This will notably impact blueprints with large amounts of periodic Promethium and Enriched Nuclear Material requirements.
  • moderator ui now shows players logged in the past 2 hours instead of currently online. So that player can’t log off to make it more annoying to mute them

[UI / Client Changes]

  • added Auto UI scale, this give 1x on 1080p, and a close relative scale equivalent for higher resolution
    • added shader based scaling for proper scaling at fractional value. and added 25% intervals to the options

[Next Universe Changes]

  • The wormholes to and between the hubs around Kumari have been increased to standard wormhole size.
  • Aveksaka Debris Fields have been renamed from Paksapata Ekam/Dve/Tra to Paksapata Katur/Pajca/Sas to match the leaf they appear in. The duplicate Paksapata Sas has been removed.
  • Aveksaka Debris Fields have been moved from max leaf Danger Factor to about halfway into each leaf (15 Danger Factor above the initial amount).
  • Marie in Protoplasmica and Engineer Kaylee Grand in Underworld, for one of the Engineer class missions, are now allied AI.
  • Guardian of the Lyceum and Lyceum Engineering teams now use the Lyceum flag.
  • Capella’s planet Thirty-Eight has had its ring fixed, which was previously hidden due to a bug in its setup.
  • Fixed Dungeon Forgones and Icepicks often not assisting the Dungeon Boss in combat until the boss is killed.
  • Fixed Allied Front to be protected like the other Subspace hubs.

[Content Changes]

[Earthforce Space]

  • The two Nexus missions teaching about the Zebucart built-in superitems have been given a five minute auto-abandon timer, as their mission indicators on the UI can otherwise stick around if you don’t know which missions are placing them on your screen.
  • Restored Dark Maelstrom’s visual effect where it would fade away every few seconds. Doubled the length of the effect to a total loop length of seven seconds.

[Wild Space]

  • Fixed Wild Space sun interference settings

[Subspace Dimension]

  • The Doomsday Device in Kumari has had its hitbox halved in size to be more appropriate for its visual size, which is unchanged.
  • Lyceum Exploration Cruiser will now display the user’s name properly.
  • Lyceum Exploration Cruiser now has visible engine mounts.
  • Added exit wormholes to the Subspace boss rifts.
  • Added the Subspace bosses to the rift leaderboard.
  • Janayitriadhara (Tractoring 22) will now despawn all bombs when vulnerable at the end of the fight, and cannot be killed until they’ve been despawned. This should prevent any remaining cases of bombs killing the boss and denying players the kill credit (meaning no loot dropped).

[Red Outpost]

[Misc. Content Changes]

  • Fixed certain missions showing the wrong missiongiver portrait when completing them.
  • Mad Expander Blueprint is now tech 18 to match its product.
  • Causal Domain Device now imparts its debuffs for 20 seconds instead of 10 seconds.
  • All Anatolian mobs that dropped Gilded Sigils or Imperial Tetradrachms now drop Gleaming Diadems instead at a lower drop chance. The actual total influence from these AI are unchanged.

[Drone / Engineer Changes]

  • Mechanical Engineer can now swap a deployed drone in place by using a drone on their own tractored drone in the same galaxy. It no longer has the ability to repair in combat. The ability to repair drones in combat on engineer class 1 remains as is.
  • Fixed a bug on the Resilient Advanced Class Subskill that was preventing it from applying to temporary drones.
  • Insatiable neurobound drones now give +2.17% critical strength and -1.30% Electric Tempering per level.
  • Watchful neurobound drones now give +1.39% damage, +1.00% indirect-hit resilience, and +10.87% radar per level.
  • Mechanical Engineer description now specifies +3 temporary drone equip slots.
  • Temporary drones will now continue to fire when an envelopment is in the way.
  • Removed the Resistance to Damage on temporary drone bonus from Zen of Engineer.

[Item / Balance Changes]

  • Added new visual effect for the Golagoay Vazaha Archetype X’s built-in superitem Singularity Shield Device.
  • All non-squad transwarps now have the same radius of 750 for transwarping bots.
  • Equipped energy stack should now give the same bank and regen result whether 1 stack of 2 or 2 stack of 1.

[Server / Systems Changes]

  • target energy info now works for any selected husk instead of only owned/squad objects.
  • Weapon fire will now stop properly a state changed to make it not allowed anymore (galaxy becoming owned is one such example)
  • Market check will now only list the first 20 match for blueprint, ac trade and such to avoid overloading the list with hundreds of entries for things commonly used.
  • Moved scoop message from Event channel to “SquadScoop” channel. it Will appear on loot when in a squad. /showsquadscoop can be used to suppress these messages.
  • /scoop has been reduced to the past hour instead of 2 hours.
  • Ship-to-ship trade no longer allows equipped and other untradeable items to be put in.
  • Active player ships will be checked once per restart for invalid slots and put in stasis if needed.
  • Players can no longer reenter a ship from stasis if the ship’s item slots are invalid. The ship must be towed and from there, the slots can be fixed.
  • Tweaked scoop messages to include bot scooping, other than mining bots.
  • Items scooped by bots now show up above the bot as floating messages instead of above the owner.
  • Fixed an issue with some systems not accounting for projectile velocity modification correctly, which affected leading moving targets. This impacted a drone’s ability to properly aim at targets when affected by a Projectile Velocity tweak.
  • Metals will no longer show at 0 quantity on all blueprints even if they have no metals.

  • Dark Curse now drops the Destroyed Dark Cloak commodity used for Cloaking to 20 skill training from a drop rate of 50% to 100%.

  • The minions for Rajanicaragupta (Cloaking 22 boss) have had their spawn effect fixed.
  • Pajca and Sas Aveksaka will now target players of all levels.
  • Paxian Protection Field Emitters are now targetable structures with a different visual to better distinguish them from the bombs.
  • The Paxian Commander in the Tractoring 22 rift is now a targetable fake ship.
  • Bhinna Avapata now generates at DF 225 instead of 200.
  • The Doomsday Device in Kumari is now targetable, has received a visual overhaul, emits sound, and emits interference. The quantity of interference isn’t enough to block autopilot.
  • Subspace boss entrances have been consolidated to only appear in the Pajca region of the Subspace layer, instead of one per region from Ekam to Pajca. All five have had their wildness requirement changed to Danger Factor 215, so halfway into the Pajca region.
  • Separated the ten Subspace bosses from each other, now each one has its own rift and associated lockout.
    • Roughly half the minibosses and more than half of the gals have been removed.
    • The minibosses will no longer drop items, credits, or give experience.
    • The Sahistha Egg (previously Pristine Alien Egg) drops and additional exclusive droptable of typically a Sahvitra gear item from Janayitrivar miniboss has been moved to Janayitri Sahistha (Piloting 22 Boss).
    • Sahistha minibosses have been standardized, each of the five variants are now equal in chance to appear wherever they’re fielded.
    • Aveksaka Protection Field Emitters, found in the Adhara Akara rift (Engine 22 Boss), are now targetable structures.

    • During the fight with Janayitriadhara (Tractoring 22 Boss), a total of two Sahistha minibosses will be spawned in phase 3 and 4 to add additional combat to this otherwise almost tractor-only fight.
    • Janayitriadhara’s (Tractoring 22 boss) arena’s wormhole now orbits around again.
    • Janayitriadhara’s (Tractoring 22 boss) arena’s Subspace Anomaly is now visible and orbits around the arena.
    • Janayitriadhara (Tractoring 22 Boss) is now nestled into the platform beneath it, and will no longer bank (tilt) when turning.

[Misc. Content Changes]

These are content changes that will not apply until the new universe
  • Made all t0 AeonLabs Industrial Commodity factories convert at the same rate as the upgraded Industrial Commodity factories.
  • Increased the drop chances for the following bosses: Captain Kidd, Demented Delquad, Dark Diablo, Dark Kobaldstein, Dark Maelstrom, Dark Scorch, UrQa’qa Vazuk Vo’kii, Red Photon Warship, The High Prophet, Pretender Zeus (specifically the chance to drop his Exotic drop list since it has a neuroforgeable weapon).

  • Janayitrideva (Weaponry 22) boss will no longer roam to one of the three planets in its arena prior to the player’s arrival.

[Empyrean]

  • Fixed several Celestial Encampment rift galaxies being on the wrong map layer.
  • Celestial Bank, Drive, and Haven no longer requires any of the rare items for the trade in at CHS Primordial Light.
  • Grand Empyreal Eclipse will no longer use its Mass Repulsor ability when no players remain. This was causing issues with using it once upon killing the last player asset regardless of distance.
  • Improved Grand Empyreal Eclipse’s shouts to have more variety, as well as new shouts for some of the guard spawns and on death.
  • Add unique visual effects for the High Celestial Demolition, Blockade, and Solar drones.
  • Empyreal Total Eclipse’s Total Empyreal Destabilizer now uses the proper warhead, instead of the Empyreal Destabilizer Warhead. This means it applies a 9 second disarm effect instead of a 7.5 second effect.

[Red Outpost]

  • Asteroids in the Sterwyn Aervin boss galaxy, Outback, no longer zoom at ridiculous speeds.
  • The number of Pristine Bottles that can be mined from asteroids in Outback Entryway have been increased.
  • The Outback boss room now has significantly less asteroids orbiting the central sun.
  • The Heist Across Dimensions mission now requires players to kill the Juggernaught, some Tiger Prawns, and some Mantis Shrimp in addition to the Crate of Zaphragi Musk in order to complete the mission.
  • Arena of Darkness Matriarch Aurora’s Mobile Nullifier Mines will no longer prioritize nearby Trade Bots.
  • Scarra the Crimson and Carmine Cutter loot missions automatically start upon warping into their respective galaxies.

[AeonLabs]

  • Each kit’s highest available Aeon Labs T0 extractor now appears in the Construction Bay on station deployment.
  • Deprecated Uncommon blueprint station kit packs, Now all levels of kits can be upgraded directly to the highest tier kit using the AeonLabs system.
  • Nullification generators have received halved Fusion Cells commodity costs and new Dilution costs per week. This Dilution cost will depend on the rarity of the gal.
  • Renamed Command & Control Station Kit to AeonLabs Dynamic Command & Control Station Kit. This new station kit will change its rarity based on the gal it’s built in.
  • Implemented the new scout sieges termite methodology. This causes there to be waves of termites for 7 days straight.
    • NOTE: They are much weaker than pre patch termites.

[Server / Systems Changes]

  • Added Industrial Plasticity Management Contract
    • Gain 10 trade bot slots per character, plus 50 “flex” base slots and permanent drone slots that can be spread across any combination of characters. The extra slots expire at the next universe reset. Limit one purchase per account per universe.
    • It costs 60 SP. It is on sale for a limited time to be 50 SP.
  • Chat Communication Cleanup project:
    • Player Station PvP team chat messages for stations or drones taking damage or being tractored has now been replaced with a combined message that plays for any permanent asset PvP action. It only triggers in each galaxy once every three minutes.
    • squad scoop logs were removed from squad chat, instead are now in event chat and a new /scoop command is available to get a display of the last 2 hours worth of scooping in the squad.
    • The initial login message no longer triggers channels to be marked as unread. Now if a channel is unread, a new message was truly sent to it. This state persists across relogging.
  • Expired mobile drones automatically return to the ship inventory if in the same galaxy
  • Tweaks with more than 10minutes duration remaining are now restored through server restart
  • you can now select which line to copy in clipboard from the message box instead of only being allowed to copy the whole block. Ctrl – shift work as expected to multiselect.
  • Add event message for pvp kill. (killer did not receive one)
  • Blueprints that auto-install on completion and have infinite uses will now be added correctly instead of disappearing.

  • Introduced the Ship to Ship Trading system.

[Ship to Ship Trading]

  • Players can now trade items and credits directly between ships in a dedicated UI.
    • This is performed by using the dock keybind while your ships are overlapping with theirs. This must be done while stopped and cannot be done in combat.
    • Items with half lives cannot be traded

[AeonLabs Modular Construction & Dilutions]

  • Introduced the AeonLabs Modular Construction System.
  • Added new AeonLabs station components, blueprint packs, extractors, Command & Control kits, and construction items.
  • AeonLabs blueprint packs have been added to all tech 12 and above player obtainable station kits.
  • Common augmenters can now be dissolved into Dilutions, displaying their outputs directly on the item. This is done by selecting then opening the context menu on any number of common augmenters while docked, then selecting the new “dissolve” option. This is cannot be reversed.
  • Pre-installed blueprints for drones constructed from industrial commodities have been moved to be held within the technology tree of the AeonLabs system.
  • The blueprints to build X/Y/Z gear on stations using Industrial commodities that came pre-installed on most station kits have been removed.

[Drone & Engineer Revamp]

  • Added the Neurobound Drone system allowing drones to be modified with selectable mods.
    • This is performed by opening a context while selecting a single drone while docked, then using the neurobind option.
  • Added three new drone skills:
    • Insatiable
    • Watchful
    • Fortified
  • Different drone mods now apply different fractions of these skills.
  • Drone mods increase drone charge cost by 100%.
  • Deployed Modified drones inherit passive modifications from the player’s equipped non-weapon items.
    • Only ship-wide (passive) modifications are inherited (e.g. Evil, Super Intelligent, Resonating), while item-specific modifications (e.g. Amplified, Extended) are not applied to drones.
  • Drone duration and charge times have been reworked.
    • Drone duration is drastically lower, and drone charge time is drastically faster.
  • Drone skills can now be trained up through The Acropolis, Platonic Academy, Olympus Entrance, Lyceum Research Concourse, and Paxian Foothold.

    • Made adjustments to the galaxy Sterwyn Aervin resides in.

[Server Changes]

Universe Reset and Other Announcements: AeonLab™’s Uni-In-a-Box

Special Announcements

  • With the coming new universe, we are changing our approach to termites to go along with the upcoming AeonLabs system. There will no longer be a siege at the end of a termite invasion. Instead, a single “scout” termite will attack your assets repeatedly over the course of 7 days. This scout will be stronger than before, but still a lot weaker than the full sieges that you’ve been accustomed to. Be aware: the scout termite is more dangerous is higher quality galaxies.
  • Another change coming with the universe reset is that owning a galaxy will now consume Dilutions at a certain rate, as well as a reduced quantity of Fusion Cells. The exact costs are visible on the Nullification Generator that installs itself onto the Command and Control Station after ownership is established. The Dilution cost of ownership is higher in high-quality galaxies. We’ll provide the exact details in a follow-up post before the universe reset occurs.
  • With the new universe, there will also be a new service for sale in our store: the Industrial Plasticity Management Contract. This service temporarily increases the number of stations, permanent drones and trade bots your account can control.
    • Purchase limit of once per account per universe.
    • Grants 50 flex base slots, 50 flex trade bot slots, and 50 flex permanent drone slots to the account until the end of the current universe.
    • Flex slots can be used by any combination of characters on the account. when the player attempts to deploy a relevant asset, if this would exceed the character’s normal slot budget then the missing number of slots is debited from the flex slot pool, if available.

Universe Reset Announcement

AeonLabs is excited to announce the release of their newest Dilution product: a miniature Doomsday Device!

This new blueprint, available on all newly-deployed stations with AeonLabs blueprint packs, will offer the opportunity for anyone to control the fate of the universe using only a few Minor Augmenters! Our research and development division have been hard at work to create the ultimate product for all your pesky vermin needs. Annoying Flyswatters attacking your stations? Destroy their universe! Annoying queue to fight a dungeon boss? Destroy their universe too!

If this technology seems dangerous, then you can feel safe knowing it has been extensively tested by the Paxian Operatives already! They’ve already set up several hundred across our very own universe for testing, and have begun deploying them into every known universe to stop the threat of the Red Rogues!

AeonLabs is pleased to report to its shareholders that the startup’s value has already increased by several orders of magnitude since it debuted its revolutionary Dilution system. With their latest product, they project their value to continue skyrocketing until it hits a sudden and cataclysmic stop on April 18 when the universe is destroyed at the peak of their valuation.

Dev Notes

  • Extractors other than space oats shut off, colonies will no longer make purchases to/from user stations, AI stations will no longer decay goods 7 days before end of the universe. Will be a reminder post.
  • Player stations, permanent drones, and the credits on active bots will be lost.
    • Player ships will not be affected.
  • If you’re docked during the reset, you will spawn into the new universe using your docked active ship.
    • Careful not to spawn into the new universe in an immobile ship!
  • Wild Space will be scrambled and receive a new map shape.
  • All other layers will have the systems scrambled but contain the same shape.
  • After a universe reset, all of your docked ships will be in a state of limbo allowing you to dock them all at any non-player station.  You can use the /limbo chat command only once to bring all of your docked ships back into limbo to dock them elsewhere. There is no longer a time limit.
    • You can purchase additional limbos via Limboing Tow Service at Friedman station in Free Market for 5 billion credits each.

AeonLabs is excited to announce the release of their newest product: Dilution technology!

AeonLabs is a fresh new start up with a focus on extending and increasing the quality of life for all productive members of society. We are excited to share with you today a new system that we are offering through our research and development division.

Dilutions

The goal of this system is to streamline the station building and gearing experience using a new item called Dilutions. Instead of having to source materials from all over the universe when setting up a station, Dilutions allow you to do almost everything on the spot with very little wait time.

The upcoming patch contains a beta version of the Dilution system, with the full version arriving at the next universe reset. This beta version adds all the new Dilution-based construction projects to the game. At the next universe reset, many station-related items will be exclusively obtained through the streamlined Dilution system, with old acquisition paths phasing out.

Edit (2026/03/24): The older acquisition method for station items will remain in game during the universe that begins on April 18. We will reassess during that universe and eventually plan to phase out the old method.

Dilutions are a new type of commodity in Star Sonata obtained by right clicking on an augmenter in your inventory and selecting the option to “Dissolve.”

The Dilution system can be used to produce both pre-existing items (like Adamantium Station Kit IX) and newly introduced items (such as AeonLabs Station Extension).

Nearly all Dilution-based items are station-bound or decay upon universe reset; most Dilution builds and applications are single-use. Dilutions themselves do not decay upon universe reset. Dilutions can be bought, sold, and traded with other players and in stations.

Extraction

As you upgrade your station to higher tech and quality levels (Fortified, Laconia, Demented, etc.), you unlock more Dilution-based builds. For example, a Demented Station Kit IX has access to all extractor types while a Loaded Station Kit does not include all of the tiered extractor options (such as Adamantium or Quantumum extractors). Station kits have access to their equal level industrial extractors and below.

Here is a table showing the relationships between type of station and extractors available. Station kit types are a general reference. For example, Twisted Station Kits have the same builds available as an Adamantium Station Kit IX. All tiers include the builds from earlier tiers; a Tech 14 Fortified Station Kit VI will have Tech 14 extractor builds along with all the extractor builds available in a Loaded Station Kit IX.

This means you can have full extraction implemented on the first day of a new universe — no more waiting! Server/Client Patch and Hotfix Cleanup – 02/09/2026 – Neuroforge 2.3.1

[Client Changes]

  • Fixed a bug where newly deployed drones were not sending their shields and energy values to the client to be used in the squad UI element.
  • Enabled changing the width of the Tweak List dialog.
  • Galaxy Map improvements:
    • Added hint hover button to Galaxy Map.
    • When using the autopilot chat command (/ap), the galaxy being travelled to is selected on the map. This allows for using shift+v to resume auto pilot.
  • Transfers / Storage (TSL) fixes:
    • The “Info” button in the context menu when clicking on items in the TSL now works correctly.
    • Fixed an issue where the station context menu for transferring items was sending items to one ship later in the list when docked at either a player base or a AI station.
    • Fixed transfer-some for storage transfer.
  • Fixed missing options in the squad member right-click menu (e.g. Add to Friends / Invite to Team).
  • Fixed various client message punctuation/formatting issues.
  • Mission UI: “(LOCKED)” text is now displayed as “Locked” to match other mission text.
  • Updated wording in the wild bot slots dialog.
  • Fixed UI bugs involving inactive input, tooltip visibility, and floaty target selection.
  • Crash/stability improvements, including a crash fix with corrupted chat and reduced risk of out-of-memory crashes.
  • Rolled back the ability to see item links in Blueprints. This was breaking chat word wrap which is now working again. This may return later in the future.
Item, Universe, and Server changes in these notes were already applied previously.
They are included here because they were hotfixed in after the last patch but were not added to the official patch notes.
The Client Changes section is new for this patch.

[Item Changes]

  • Red Blocker now applies a 6 second GREMLIN_DISARM effect immediately upon use.
  • Fixed an issue where Carmine Cutter had his ship stats changed inappropriately in the last patch. Carmine Cutter should have the same stats it had prior to the previous patch.
  • Primal Mantis Shrimp spawn faster, and have a higher chance to drop Primal Gland Resin.
  • Zaphragi Heist mission timers removed/adjusted:
    • Dark Earthforce Juggernaught mission no longer has a timer.
    • The Heist Across Dimensions mission no longer has a timer, and now awards an Outback Zaphragi Trove upon completion.
  • Red Rogue mission items (such as Damaged Peacekeeper Technology) no longer prevent Fast Travel via transwarping.
  • Removed double Obscure Doubloon cost from the Dark Earthforce Mount blueprint.
  • Removed all time limits from Red Outpost instance missions.
  • Primordial Tiger Prawn perk changed from Armored Lightly to Stats Electric Tempering+.
  • Angre’s Demolisher no longer has -1 Constant Weapon Slot, and is 75 size bigger and about 50k weight heavier.
  • Zauron’s Mask and Heart of Sol equipped visibility reduced from 200k to 2k.

[Universe Changes]

  • AI in Arctia will no longer dock at the local AI Stations.
  • Space Blue AI in Wolf 359 will no longer dock at the local AI Station.
  • The Earthforce Cargo Crates debris around Wolf 359 have been renamed from “Earthforce Debris” to “Earthforce Cargo Crates” and updated to be easier to identify.
  • The six debris spawners in Wolf 359 will now all give Earthforce Cargo Crates instead of half of them giving Scrap Metal.
  • Re-adding Pirate’s Whisky Generator and Pirate’s Whisky Reservoir to Levasseur’s drop table.
  • Temporally Entangled Regression Chamber’s can now be turned in for 30 Paxian Peacekeeper’s Recommendation.
  • Temporal Trackers in Kalthi Depths now look for a galaxy starting from Danger Factor 400 up to their maximum danger factor, instead of only searching within a small Danger Factor band.
  • Fixed mission summary for the What is a Causal Collapse mission (corrected required Paxian Peacekeeper Signaculums).

[Server Changes]

  • Fixed a bug with colony storehouse loading
  • Spawner Trackers are now much less likely to pick a galaxy very far from your current location.
  • Further safeguards were created to prevent unintended damage spikes relating to the RoF cap.

[Red Outpost]

New: Arena of Darkness (Temporal Rift)

A new, harder 6 player Matriarch Aurora encounter has been added to the Temporal Rift: Arena of Darkness. It’s intended to be tougher than standard Matriarch Aurora, but not as punishing as Scarra or Carmine. It features a 2 hour lockout and a weekly personal loot mission, and is accessible after beating the first stage of The Fighting Pits.

Zaphragi Heist Updates

  • Added new T23 Exalted ships: Kangaroo, Wallaby, and Tiger Prawn (each with inbuilt items), plus blueprints for each ship.

 

[Client/UI Changes]

  • Blueprints now support working item hotlinks, and several chat link issues were fixed (misalignment/bad returns).
  • Radar: clicking on the radar now cycles through targets.
  • Context menu improvements:
    • If you have both pinned and unpinned items selected, the context menu will show both Pin Item and Unpin Item.
    • Fixed an empty selection entry at the end of the Possessions context menu.
    • Added extra separators in Possessions / Mission / Squad context menus to reduce accidental clicks.
  • Transferring improvements:
    • Fixed an issue with transferring while docked at a station (extra empty field in the context menu).
    • When transferring while docked, the context menu now shows Station (name) instead of base and adds a separator if there are ships docked too.
    • Added the ability to transfer goods via inventory context menus to Storage (formerly known as TSL).
    • Added the ability to pin/unpin items in Storage (TSL), plus refresh improvements so changes display properly.
  • Item description UI:
    • Re-added Cargo to item descriptions with a new color.
    • Icons in item descriptions now match the color of the text after them.
    • Mod description icons now reflect the color properly.
  • Minor fixes: spelling fixes in the inventory manager and neurodoc.

 

[Item Changes]

  • Zauron’s Mask and Heart of Sol once again grant 2000 visibility when equipped.
  • Fixed missing Electric Tempering text in Rewired capacitor descriptions.
  • Carmine’s Temporal ProtectionRedbeard’s Temporal Tricks, and Scarra’s Temporal Doom received multiple balance passes; final versions now use cooldowns / updated effects and durations, including longer debuff durations in some cases.
  • Scarra’s Temporal Doom and Redbeard’s Temporal Tricks buffs/debuffs were updated (including intended duration and debuff values).
  • Scarra’s Drone Controller no longer gives a bonus to hull space.
  • Players who owned Scarra’s OppressorRedbeard’s Rogue, or Carmine’s Reaver in their possessions before January 1st are eligible for a free augmenter reset.
  • Juvenile Tiger Prawn Blueprint costs were significantly reduced.
  • Juvenile Tiger Prawn’s Presence no longer works on Trade Bots.
  • All Empyreal ships that have -%Tracking now have a reduced -%Tracking malus (e.g. -50% -> -15%).
  • Increased the augmod bonuses on the Dark Earthforce Mount.
  • Removed Kalthi Planetary Blaster as an ingredient from Gonzales Trion Blaster Blueprint.
  • Adjusted the stats of the Empyreal Grand Eclipse and Empyreal Total Eclipse.

 

[Universe Changes]

  • Earthforce layer: Juxtas are now locked to their half of the spiral; only Concourses will cross the spiral.
  • Paxian Foothold: Paxian Operative ships no longer require Tech 21 ships and Tech 22 Hybridizations to purchase, and are now sold as Ship Upgrades for the Hybridized T22 Pax ships (instead of being sold as ships).
  • Wild Space galaxy naming updates:
    • Added Fate of Ninx as an eligible galaxy name.
    • Edited Tornado’s Alley to Tornado Alley.
    • Added Vics DJ Booth in honor of Vicious01.
  • Guaranteed/bonus exotic item chances added to Angre’s and Gonzales Treasure Vaults.
  • Reduced blueprint costs for exotic quality Matriarch Aurora items (up to 50%).
  • Added the 6 Kalthi skills to the same AI bases that sell Imperial Seal skills (Sol, Glass Matrix, Bonnet, Iq Bana, Temple Grounds) with the same costs.
  • Reduced Olympus Entrance Item Exchange weapon costs
    • From 100 Shards to 25
    • From 25 Honorary Diplomas to 10
  • Adjusted multiple Red Outpost boss-related drop tables and rewards.
  • Added a large dust cloud to all galaxies in the Zaphragi Heist instance.
  • Dungeon minion requirements for Paxian Peacekeeper’s Signaculums were reduced (from 30 to 8 per tier), and Signaculum requirements for Peacemaking 12–15 were reduced.

 

[Server Changes]

  • Neuroforge: for items with low enhancement level, the Neuroforge will no longer offer extremely small enhancement increases (e.g. +1 enhancement level).
  • Crates now allow Item Linking.
  • All husks which cannot have their inventory interacted with now get fuel for free if they had a fuelled energy (wild bots, fighters, drones)
  • Adjusted default drone slide speed to improve drone movement behavior
  • Improved description of Composite mod on weaponry (text clarity only).
  • Updated Treasure Box item type text to be clearer.

 

[Bug Fixes]

  • Fixed an additional edge case preventing use of Enveloping Monkey / similar effects when weapon damage is 0.
  • AI spawned from asteroid ambushes will now get intended stat changes that non-ambushers of their type get, if any.
  • Boss spawn scripting fixes and cleanup
  • Fixed Strontium mission styling on the Nurse Orc mission.
  • Fixed various typos in missions and items.
  • Achievements: fixes for station laying, prospecting, and capturing ships; plus clarification text updates for certain achievements and Zen of Ranger.

Temporal Shenanigans – Universe Reset

uni_reset_jan17Earth scientists have triggered a temporal singularity on an off-world lab while trying to create space-time based weaponry. Initial containment of the singularity has been lost and there is now no way to stop it. This singularity is eating not just matter – but time itself!

As a result, star system after star system is being absorbed into the singularity and it is just a matter of time before the whole universe is sucked in.

The effects of the singularity will remain local until it reaches its temporal threshold, at which point existence as we know it will end.

Scientists expect the universe to then unfold into an earlier version of itself on the other side of this singularity. Representatives from at least the Urqan, Mzungu, Bule, and Kalthi regions of space have been seen forming fleets to engage outsiders in the new universe and vie for territory. The Paxians have decided to rely on technological preparation and logical understanding of the situation.

Ready yourself, for no one truly knows what to expect on the other side – both threatening entities and exciting new territory await!

Dev Notes

  • Extractors other then space oats shut off, colonies will no longer make purchases to/from user stations, AI stations will no longer decay goods 7 days before end of the universe. Will be a reminder post.
  • Player stations, permanent drones, and the credits on active bots will be lost.
    • Player ships will not be affected.
  • If you’re docked during the reset, you will spawn into the new universe using your docked active ship.
    • Careful not to spawn into the new universe in an immobile ship!
  • Wild Space will be scrambled and receive a new map shape.
  • All other layers will have the systems scrambled but contain the same shape.
  • After a universe reset, all of your docked ships will be in a state of limbo allowing you to dock them all at any non-player station.  You can use the /limbo chat command only once to bring all of your docked ships back into limbo to dock them elsewhere. There is no longer a time limit.
    • You can purchase additional limbos via Limboing Tow Service at Friedman station in Free Market for 5 billion credits each.

Red Outpost: Zaphragi Heist Contest

Hey Sonatians,

Your infiltration of the Red Rogue is going well. After showing your worth in the Fighting Pits, Crim Sonova has deemed you fit to begin contributing to their plans to pillage the multiverse. Your first assignment is to help acquire a piece of Zaphragi research from another place and time. You’ll need to overcome some significant obstacles, and figure out how to get what you came for. If you succeed, the Red Rogue will trust you with even more dangerous missions… and maybe you can figure out what they are really after.

Proving yourself against the Outback Armada

It’s been a while, but we’re back with another contest! Anyone who posts a video of themselves attempting to complete the dungeon with a full squad within the two three weeks of its release will be entered into a drawing to receive a special skin! Any squad that fully completes the dungeon, and beats the final boss, will earn access to that same exclusive skin. Like last time, there are some guidelines to go along this that will make running this go smoothly for all involved.

Contest Guidelines

  • A video must be posted of you and your squad trying to complete the Zaphragi Heist instance, after you have beaten the mini boss. You should show you and your squad mates entering the instance and fighting the enemy.

  • Only one point of view is needed, though more are appreciated.

  • The video recording must be from start to finish. Please start the recording before warping into the galaxy with the boss, you may end the recording anytime after you have scooped the loot.

  • Please show the squad screen before warping into the galaxy with the boss. This allows us to easily verify which characters are a part of the clear.

  • Roh will be contacting the poster of the video via Discord direct messages to coordinate the delivery of the reward. Please have your DMs open and be available if you are the one posting the video for your squad.

  • The video must be uploaded to YouTube.

  • All videos must be posted to the #media channel in the Star Sonata Discord.

  • There will be a 14 21 day period, starting from when the instance is first opened. Any squad that completes the mini boss kill and submits a video within this time frame will earn the reward. Any squad that fails to fully complete the instance, but still posts a video, will be entered into a drawing for the reward.

  • Each player account can only be granted the reward once. Being a part of a new squad and submitting a new video does not mean that a previously rewarded account will be given a second reward.
