Post NB weapon change on test
On test is now a change to NB weapons. If your ship goes into stasis but doesn't have GG to cover your weapon (or some other types of NB items), then it gets unequipped. This is intended to stop the Seers popping trade slaves with GG2. Please test it out if you have a chance, as I haven't really tested it.

Erm good intentions but pretty useless, GG2 costs nothing and 50 is easy to store on any low vis/hull ship.

Fairly sure he means GG that's high enough tech to cover the NB weapon.

I'll just use a Reaver and continue to pop those slaves.

You should make it dropable, and make it so it can be scooped just like any other gear. Just make it so that the person who scoops it cannot use it, if its neurobound to someone else.

Otherwise you haven't accomplished much, as he still wont drop the item.

a player gets teammate seers to let him kill them, gets all their yummy SSF's, and puts them on slaves, and goes and has fun.

He wont be able to drop them, but he wont be able to use them either, as it becomes unequiped. But you can always dock in an AI base, and re-equip, or would it require Gear Glue of same tech or higher to even equip the neurobound weapon?

The first version that can deal significant damage are T10, T14, and T15. And all grem. The lowest tech fully upgraded one is T16.

However, you could get the T7 one to kill slaves and boosters.

I think you are missing the point, you can't use the weapon again until you dock again... in a galaxy without a base to dock in, this in effect stops the seer from sitting in that 1 galaxy popping slaves repeatedly without anything short of player intervention to stop him/her.

Maybe it's not the perfect solution but i see it as a step in the right direction to solve the problem people are bitching about, not that i aggree tho cause i'm a seer.

So the seer just uses the lowest tech weapon that can kill slaves and uses cheap GG to cover it. Sorry no solution.

Currently you can use suitably augged quafir+ drones to give some protection against seers, however with the proposed changes to the quafir+ that solution will not work as well as you have to use double the augs to get that effect.

But if you do aug all 4 augs, you can get better radar/range etc..
