Instead of leaving station account slots as it is, or to simply lift the limit, make the Station Research skill add +2 account slots (on top of slots for the character in question). A standard five character account would get 5x2x5 = 50 new accounts slots, or a whole character's worth. Meaning, it's a reward you actively work towards, and gives Station Research purpose on MFM characters.

The idea is to be able to do MORE with 1 account. Since new char slots with eventually be for sell. This would be a great add on. Capping it at 200 slots per account instead of 150.
