The server is temporarily down due to technical difficulties. We are trying to figure out what is wrong with it but are so far stumped and don't know when it will be back up. Hopefully soon.

The universe is resetting on Saturday, October 3 at 10:00am Pacific time, 17:00 GMT.
All user bases, deployed drones, and ships in stasis will be lost. A new universe will created out of a largish bang of energy and creative force, generating new galaxies. All your docked ships will appear at the first AI base that you dock at in the new universe.

* Smooth shields and smooth energy. Instead of things that generate shields and energy giving a chunk every second or so and things that draw energy take away a chunk every second or so and constantly sending updates to the client, calculate a total energy per second and shields per second and send that to the client as well as use it for the server.
