I've had it too, though it's not bad enough for me to really complain about it. Just once an hour or so.

i know someone had it on a geforce gts 250 as well, and the same driver as me. so yea, it doesnt seem limited to specific hardware, yet it also seem hard enough to reproduce to be hard to track ><.
If you can figure a way to reliably make it happen from a freshly started client (as in, happen all the time or at the very least, 90% of the time). that would be a very big help. I tried all i could think off (including overloading my client with so many projectiles/particles that my local server was lagging (170000 projectiles on screen), and still couldnt get the bug to happen (offcourse i was also having pretty close to 1fps during that time XD), and evidently i tested all the way up here, not just at 170k projectiles. _________________ One of the first and proud flight controller. It usually happens to me when I have low fps, like 10-14 range, and some one ELSE tractors some thing. Never had it happen when I tractored.

How about diming down the stars from FFFFFFXX to A0A0A0XX (RGBA).

He's just trolling. He doesn't like stars putting out any light at all. In fact, it seems like he doesn't like anything about the game.

What I'm saying is to change ALL 'FF's to 'A0's to dim down all of the way over the top too bright stars.
I've had to turn the brightness down on my monitor to the point that I can just barely see the loot drops. SS is blinding me! And NO dick face I'm NOT trolling but YOU are! |

Okey dokey... So, after this new patch was downloaded onto my machine, whenever I open up the client, it opens smoothly to the option screen where you can pick your screen resolution etc... When I hit enter, however, a window appears saying: "An error happened during the initialization of the d3d device". It then proceeds to crash and ask me to send my dump files...
