That's my fault - at least in Hephaestus - as everything was set to infinite +vis so that I could easily play-test / work out the related distances / angles. Hephaestus, at least, is supposed to be dusty / full of nebulae, so (fingers crossed) on live release it'll be a lot easier to hide in.

Currently trying to work out how to set variable vis zones without using Suns...

cant you just use nebulae that give constant or % vis tweak?

Thats not pretty, though. Would be much nicer to just have a nice smooth vis increase/decrease.

I haven't made it to heph, however, the whirlpool level is...amusing. AI that reduce your speed and make you have 20k visibility, AND swarm you? :lol:

What i find most annoying, though, is level one; That drone is invisible to me from more than about 500 range, and its on top of a sun, AND the sun boosts MY vis to around 160, so anything can see me.

Also, i think that level 1 shouldn't be instanced; It should be free pvp, as well. Would make things interesting, to be sure.

Alternatively, it should be set up so if you warp into level one without a squad, it should inject you into a level with a squad, so you can pewpew. Ofc, they would just have to warp through to escape, but it could still make for some fun.

One main question i have is how is it going to work on initial release? will the ai drop extra commods? or will it be only 1 commod per run as with all other ubers for skills? The reason i ask is when you figure it to take 10 players per run, and only 1 of those players can get the skill it will take a total of 10 runs to get all 10 players the new skills. Now, if you figure lockout to be 5-7 days it becomes some players waiting 50-70 days for the new skills.


If this has not been addressed i think a reasonable solution would be to provide a grace period of maybe 1 month where the ai will drop 2 commods instead of 1, thus lowering the wait time to 25-35 days.

Would love admin response to this.

yeah well im sure there are more players that will be waiting on these skills than there were before, kind of rediculous to wait 2-3 months for a skill.
