Quote: I cannot find a single trustworty FREE download anywhere This isn't exactly FP2, it's a complete conversion mod based on it, but close enough. http://babylon.hard-light.net/official_downloads.php Description from mod site: Quote: The Babylon Project (TBP) is a stand-alone total conversion based on the Babylon 5 universe created by J. Michael Straczynski. It features large amount of ship and different species from the Babylon 5 universe. The Babylon Station is a dream given form. It is a 5 mile long space station built in neutral territory orbiting the planet of Epsilon 3. A place for commerce and diplomacy where diverse populations can gather calmly without the threat of war and discuss their differences with the hope of understanding each other and settling their disagreeements peacefully. But not all disputes can be solved peacefully... The Babylon Project features over 120 Ships of over 11 species or factions including the Earth Alliance Omega Class Destroyer, the Centauri Primus Class Battle Cruiser or the Vorlon Star Dreadnought. It also features the latest effects from the Source Code Project (high detailed textures and graphics and the "Glide-Mode" for some fighters). High quality soundeffects and the original soundtrack from the famous TV-show are also included. I'm gonna give it a try and see how it looks, I like the name so far _________________ newman233 wrote: Blind stop it, im running out of new boxers |

The screens Yugioh posted are exactly how I would like it to be. You have the black background but a lot of nebulas and stuff to make it look pretty.

I experimented with tinting that same texture some (In the actual game, not in photoshop or anything):
A red tint: Some kinda light bluish tint: Darker more intense bluish tint: I also had to apply a post process pixel shader to these images to make the white bits stand out more, if I hadn't done that, the stars would be washed out by the color, and it would look like this: The basic formula is just: Code: textureColor * tintColor + (textureColor * 2.0)^2 Since colors are in the 0-1 range, multiplying by 2 and then raising to the power of 2 would make colors below 0.5 diminish and colors above 0.5 brighter, singling out the bright parts in the image. Heres also a pic of a green sun against an untinted nebula background: _________________ newman233 wrote: Blind stop it, im running out of new boxers |

Maybe it shouldn't affect ships as much? Cause it all blends together a bit too much

The background does make everything look so much more sexy.

Out of this latest batch of screenies, I liked the second one best. I don't know the technical terms, but I liked the fact that the ship stood out from the background a bit while still looking kind of "soft." In the other pictures, the ship took on so much of the background color that it had that look of being "in a fog" that some other people have described.
The one next to the sun is also awesome. I love the fact that the ships will reflect light properly. It is a vast improvement over, say, the EF ships of C1 that look light the light is always coming from their left side regardless of the environment they're in. _________________ pip8786 wrote: Dorin Nube... you win the best post on the forums ever award. Far better looking than previous ones.
Ilove the bulk. And as jeff said, i'd like space background to be as in yugi's screens About that. that's also a feature that i like on SS, it's so black that it doesn't hurt eyes. |

The bulk looks a bit too saturated (is that the right term?). Other then that it looks fucking awesome, especially that screenshot with the green sun.

Apparently you guys dont realize that the green sun is the same sun as some of the initial suns in this thread, just zoomed in and tinted green. |
