Shit is so cash. I've played 22 hours since Saturday morning, and I have a Level 20 Warrior.
Ask me anything about the game if you're curious about getting it. Lore/mechanics/etc _________________ Blue Dwarf wrote: In space, no one can hear you cha cha cha. |

I really would love to play GW2 but star sonata is enough (time-wise).
I will be picking up diablo 3 though. |

I think I might just quit my sub when GW2 comes out. Even in the first 5 levels of the game I got in a battle against a boss with 30 other people. Not to mention that the game is stunning.

So it's just click and use, essentially like WoW? If so, do I really need to enumerate the ways in which TERA is better?

Stay still and you die in under 5 seconds basically. Here's some skilled gameplay from a Warrior. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR0-S9SQ ... ata_player Also, I'll be back in the morning. _________________ Blue Dwarf wrote: In space, no one can hear you cha cha cha. |

Except stuff like skills and throwing things are completely undodgable, making dodging essentially pointless in a huge number of cases. While a lot of the rest of it might be better, it will take a lot to convince me that its combat is superior to TERA's. _________________ http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1408128/Demiser_of_D landswimmer wrote: ALL HAIL CYG THE MESSIAH! |

You can dodge ranged attacks. Dodging makes you invulnerable from any sort of attack. I've played my Warrior in PvP and had a 1v1 versus a ranger. We both got down but I used my Warrior downed ability to finish him off. I've killed many Elementalists, ranged Thieves, as well as melee users. Everything is well balanced.

I can't watch any videos with my net as it is atm, could you describe how the combat is? And if any of you have played TERA, what TERA combat is like. Also, what other stuff can you do in GW2? Any crafting? Mini-games? Houses? Guilds? Guild houses? Guild-house-game-crafting?
From what I've heard it seems that TERA has arguably better combat features, but otherwise it suffers from a lack of original gameplay [citation needed]. Guild Wars 2 doesn't seem to have as pretty a fighting system, but I hear it more than makes up for that in gameplay with epic boss fights and random boss encounters and I suppose whether or not the fighting style is better is really up to the player themself. Personally, I'm opting to get Guild Wars 2, TERA sounds like too much of a grindfest and I want to try something new for a change, I'll most likely be pre-ordering it - missed out on the beta because my computer was out of commission and I couldn't for the life of me download it anyway... so I didn't get a chance to try it out beforehand. The one-time cost is also a big major plus for me. _________________ Did you praise the sun today? Last edited by assasinat3r on Mon Apr 30, 2012 7:30 am, edited 1 time in total. |

Guild Wars 2 has all of the things you described (crafting, minigames, home instance, etc) but I can't really go in depth since I'm in school. If you want reading, then you can read this:

This is the entire page.
Quote: Combat in Guild Wars 2 is a dynamic, position based, fighting experience. Combat roles can be subdivided into control, support and damage. Very detailed combat is. |

You're supposed to look at the Damage, Support, and Control. That page is meant to link all of them.

Then link them. The whole point of a link is to specify exactly. Not link to a link.
If I wanted a link, I'd go there via google. |
