yeah ive noticed this too... the worsed part is if they intentionaly are dropping the server for patching and fixes... then they need to inform thier paying customers first... and if the server is crashing they need to have a reserve server that functions on the last functioning version... so players wont freak out... but thats what i would do xD

nah, thyey gave a 6hour warning yesterday, it wont be crash, unfortunatily, you cant have ALL the data being backed up nearly simultaniously

i am well aware of the 3 day rollbacks back in the day :P

They do inform you when the server goes down intentionally. Do you never read the chats? It even spams in help chat.

indeed, right now server was not brought down by us. it was a server crash. The reason its still down is because im fixing the source of the crash so it wont happen again.

Server patch are always announced at least 4 hours in advance with an ingame timer, and usually have a forum post to go with it.
