I've been bopping around some mid-DF perilous dg's to test the new AI. Here are my preliminary results. Keep in mind that in some cases I may not have tested enough AI to get a representative sample. Also, though I have tried to remain impartial, the circumstances may have led me to be somewhat hypercritical. Finally, I am primarily testing shield, range, and tracking, since I don't get hit too often. I will update this list as I gather information.
For any admin who would like to experiment with the new AI as SD, I would recommend the following setup, representative of the midrange (full focus, class, and subskills). Death Striker, Excomm+Mining Control 25, Reach of Prometheus, Broodmother's Squeaks, Protection of Tobal, [Albatross, 2 Sup Combi, Zeus+] -- Forgone: No complaints. MF2 Forgone: A bit heavy on the shield and a bit too much range. MF3 Forgone: Extremely high shields and too much damage. Pick: About 75% more shield (or resistance?). Not acceptable either way. MF Pick: Same shield issue, and also too much range. Perhaps too much damage as well. Vulture: No complaints Wattage (1.7k): No complaints Wattage (2.8k): Not tested Big Green: Somewhat more range? Bigger Green: Not tested MF3 Bigger Green: Somewhat more tracking? Qokuji: No complaints Green Battleship: Not tested Drop: No complaints _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer. Drop the RoP and the Brood squeaks and get a merc zeal
Anyway, i feel that Picks/MF Picks/Forgones/MF Forgones are good. i've done all of them with a Ukukuu Qu and LC. Things that i think should get a little boost are MF Reavers, too easy that my lvl 560ish SD alt can Easily kill them. |

Big Greens seem to have far more shields than they did previously. Besides that, they're meant for more of the 500-750 level range than 1000. Anyone have a non-uber (something a first-time player could be expected to have) alt at around that level they could test with?

I feel very strongly that picks have too much shield now, or else their resistance to mining has been disproportionately increased. I'll update the list as I continue to dg. _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer. I've got a level 350 gunner that I levelled with 0 support from any of my accounts. _________________ |

Who cares if you have a lvl 350 gunner that needs 0 support, I can do the exact same thing so can everyone else. But this really shouldn't be a problem for you anyway since you suck at DGing / Lving with your characters you made from scratch.
Now DGing on my SD today I have come to the conclusion AI are doing far to many crit hits. _________________ |

It's the shield. I use Rad from my FC, and Heat from my seer and zerker. Ho boy, those things took more to kill. _________________ Salt Assault drew this conclusion from the latest devblog. So its not just me, AI are critting alot more then usual, maybe thats the damage increase...
Also, MF 3x Forgs are just plain BROKEN, and 2x are a little tougher then the old 3x'es. |

That means, anything equipped with sniper skills...ahem, MF3 Forgones....will be critting on average every 5 shots. Then, add the Forgone aug and the AT15 we know that attached to augs and you get the Forgone critting nearly every 2 shots. _________________ Salt Assault drew this conclusion from the latest devblog. Have the changes been reverted yet?
