Is the sheild monkey boost calculated as 20* 1.025 = 1.5%
or
1.25^20 = 163%
same question to aug tweaking would lvl 2 make it 8% more effective or make it 8.16% more effective?

1. bump, this thread is very handy and was getting too close to the bottom.
2. Does anyone have a calculation for ROF/recoil, or could at least explain how it works? There doesn't seem to be any mention on SS page, Lyceum, or the forums.

-10% I believe is just 1.00 - .1 = .9, so .9 x 3 seconds is 2.7.

Base RoF = 1.00 Mod = +60% RoF (or -60% Recoil) Calculation = 1.00 / 1.6 New RoF = 0.625
Base RoF = 0.45 Mod = +30% RoF (or -35% Recoil) Calculation = 0.45 / 1.35 New RoF = 0.33
Base RoF = 1.90 Mod = +25% RoF (or -25% Recoil) Calculation = 1.90 / 1.25 New RoF = 1.52
And stooch, AT 2 makes augs 8% more effective.

This is an old post, but very useful. Someone should clean it up and sticky it, or maybe put the information on TLA.
Question: What about energy regen augs? Do they apply to the regen from solar panels and built in ship regen, or only the base regen on the energy?
What about resistance augs? If I have 10% resist on my ship, and I install a minor resistance aug (+10%) do I get 20% resistance or 11%?
BTW, this is not necromancy. I was going to start a new topic with tons of questions, but I spent 20 minutes finding this old post instead.

Yeah, it was annoying to find out that the AT Calculation for negative stats on TLA was wrong... What they had: What it really is: (1-(1/(((1/((stat/100)+1)-1)*((4*AT/100)+1))+1)))*(-100)
