And then you woke up and realized there are only 10 levels and you're a paraplegic.

The fact that it's been so long since i've last done it because it's so easy that i've done it on all my characters doesn't change the fact that the hotrod i used to do it on all those characters is still on my ships list with the name "Micron Hotrod".

Gold/plat bars and annoying hauling missions. Tags so they actually take a few days to complete. The one good point Russell makes is that the skills involved in getting Engines 20 (easy as they may come to most players) are not strictly required in the rest of the game.

Indeed. If the game had more twitch-oriented piloting/movement, then Micron would be very well justified. And a big fat discouragement to MCing, which actually drove some people away (more than one redditer).

That being said, inverted speed to dps game play heavily encourages sitting afk while your shm heals you in Zeus.

I see alot of morons posting who obviously have not done the course in C2. Micron has been changed at least 4 times since it was introduced (either directly or inderectly) so HAL claiming that it was tested before put in is kinda stupid since its nothing like when it was first introduced.

People plz STFU the majority of the players in this game knows jackshit and the rest of ya are to stupid to understand that just because you can do something not everyone else is able. (lag, disability, crappy computer)

I ran through Micron one week ago in a 300 speed App Ward. Took me just under 1 minute.

Got an alt Engines 20 this universe. Used the same old Wingship IV with 2 Hermes as I have used since I did it on Churchill the day it came out.

I read just fine you fatuous prick. Maybe you should reconsider your claim, which is that the race course was changed and is perhaps considerably harder in C2. If you spent a little more time reading yourself, you might have noticed that I already advocated for a secondary means to get Engines 20 that would be accessible to those people who are impaired by lag, disabilities, or a crappy computer.

Feel free to continue your pointless crusade of bitching about the administration, but I'll thank you to leave me out of it.

If you had even a tech 10 ship with speed augs you could practically AP the whole damn thing, it's not like it's hard. Heck, Helicopter Game is about 100 times harder than it is.

If this is seriously all you have to whine about, you're doing something terribly, terribly wrong.

And finally, I can understand that you might not be a touch typer, but it doesn't take touch typing to fly your bloody ship. If you have to look down every time to find your bloody WASD keys, then again, you're doing something terribly, terribly wrong.

/sarcasm

Hope you're not dissing the WASD keys, otherwise I'm gonna rage. :<

I did micron in a dread on my FC with the capship travel field. No other skill is so open to just messing about and the course is piss easy once uve done it a few times. Tab and v solves alot of the "Skill" needed.

Not that they can't have youtube accounts, but, knowing you guys, it just seams more likely the other way around...

Yep its amusing to read the posts of the type "I can do micron so anyone should be able to"

Does this mean they are so bad at the game that even diaabled or otherwise impaired people can do it as well them,

or are they simply a bit lazy/careless and have missed the point of the thread. :)

It sounds like what happened to Thummper in the Explosive Concussion topic. Also, didn't he threaten to quit last year?

Nah. Lots of us complained, including me. However, the dev team responded. Jeff adjusted the effect way down, and Aurora and HAL made their fixes, especially to missiles, which were the worst part of the problem (at least out of the 4 classes I play). Basically, they responded and fixed the problem in record time, and I think most of us who originally complained are now satisfied. Unfortunately for Bonecrusher, when you engage in three or four weeks of hystrionics and lay down a bunch of ultimatums, you sort of paint yourself into a corner where you have to follow through with your threats or eat a big helping of humble pie. Nothing wrong with a little humble pie once in awhile though. I've eaten more than my fair share.
