Every team has the option of setting what is called a tithe. The tithe is in essence a tax on the earnings of the members of the team. Star Sonata limits the tithe to no more than 50% but most teams have between 0% and 2.5%.

Scam teams

Occasionally a team springs up whose only purpose is to extract a large tithe from its members. One should always check the tithe immediately after joining a team to avoid losing your hard-earned credits unawares.
