The below table shows prospectable commodities and where to prospect them.
Some commodities are specific to certain solar bodies, such as moons, planets, or suns.
Some commodities are only found in certain layers.
Prospecting is done by using Prospecting specific Prospecting Tractor beams on solar bodies.
