== Why? ==
Who in Adum's name would want to kill there own ship? Well, there are a few situations where death might be desirable:
* To get rid of a ship (a ship left in stasis will eventually disappear and won't take up one of your 25 docked ship slots).
* To stop an engineless ship from drifting off into space with no help in sight (suiciding is a sure-fire way to stop yourself).
* To get into [[Emphatic Biology]] or [[Empathy Field]].

At one point suiciding while in spirit form would reset your character completely. However, due to numerous accidents that feature was removed.
