Newcomers will begin at Rat Preload, where they will learn the basics of piloting their ship and fighting enemies. After jumping through the [[wormhole]], they will arrive in Commerce Preload, which teaches the basics of trading, [[mining]] and making [[credits|money]]. There are also some [[Preload Missions|missions]] to undertake at the station there. Once everything has been learned or new characters feel ready to leave the Preload galaxies, jumping through the second wormhole will lead them into [[The Nexus]], where advanced features of the game are taught, and onward into the main universe of Star Sonata.

* Please note that once you exit through the second wormhole, you CAN return but only if you are under level 15 and in a tech 3 or lower [[ship]]., so be sure to sell all your docked ships and bring everything you need before taking the final step! You have been warned.
