Metal Compactor

You walk into the gritty office of Foreman Treloar and hear him screaming orders into a mic, "NO! I said shut them all down!
Shut down all the metal compactors on the detention level!" You tap him on the shoulder and he jumps back, quite suprised.
"I didn't notice you come in. You see, we've been having one hell of a time getting our Metal Compression facilities online..
anyway, try not to bother me when I'm working!" He begins barking more orders into the mic and you tap him again.
"HEY! I said don't bother me while I'm working!", he says, his face beginning to redden.
Finally after one more tap, he nearly explodes, "IF YOU'RE STILL HERE AT LEAST MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL!
I NEED THESE COMPACTORS FIXED! GO ON, FIX THEM MR. WISE GUY!"

Summary

You return to Foreman Treloar and tap him again, and already notice his temper starting to rise. "Ok, so you say you fixed it?"
says Foreman Treloar. His temper finally flares. "YOU FIXED IT!?! I CAN'T BELEIVE YOUR AUDACITY!
YOU PLAYED WITH MY MACHINERY WITHOUT MY EXPRESS PERMISSION! ARRGHH!" Despite strong urges to run for the nearest airlock,
you calmly point out he told you to 'fix it then Mr. Wise Guy', and he begins to cool down.
"Well, now that they're fixed, how about using them?"

"Ok, I make my money by using my compressors to condense metal.
You have no idea what superdense Metals are worth on the defense market! Anyway, I need at least 500 Metals to compress,
if you bring me that much metal, and it's going to be a chore, I'll pay you say, three times the market value?"
Not wanting to upset him, you promptly agree. "Good! Get back here when you have 500 metal, and we have a deal!"

That's right.." Foreman Treloar notices a worker slacking off on one of the viewscreens in front of him,
his red face appears and after a few barked orders, the worker is promptly working again,
with the added guarentee if he's caught again he's out the airlock. "As I was saying,
That's right, there's a lot of money in Microchips! How 'bout it? You bring me 500 silicon, and I'll give you say,
four times normal market value?" You agree. "Great! Get back here whewn you have 500 silicon!"

Foreman Treloar begins to ponder exactally how many nukes his facilities burn through and begins to become visibly upset.
"WE BURN THROGH TOO MANY NUKES! THAT MIGHT EXPLAIN WHY THE NUCLEAR PILE IS ALWAYS SO LOW!!!"
You offer to mine some Nuclear Waste for him and he beings to calm. You will?
You bring me 500 Nuclear Waste, and I'll give you say, two times normal market value?" You agree.
"Excellent! Get back here whewn you have 500 Nuclear Waste!"

Foreman Treloar calms down and begins talking to you again. "I'm sure you wouldn't mind helping me out again?
The Promethium market is pretty unstable, if you start selling me Promethium, I can offer you a set price per unit all the time.

After a few minutes of muted curses and loud bangs, you think it's safe to go back in.
"Ever heard of Traginium?" says Foreman Treloar. "It's rumored to be the most stable form of Promethium, and it's a miracle fuel.
If I could even get one Traginium, most of my micromanagement woes would be over!
Anyway, I've heard that we might have a Traginium vein in this asteroid field. I'd like you to try and find it. OK?"
