The team Contingency was born on Nov. 25, 2012 by the merge of two teams; Hiigaran Empire and TheFederation. Together the two teams became a much stronger team and rapidly progressed through the game receiving much attention from the StarSonata community along the way. Within one universe they managed to obtain the 8th position in team ranks all while the majority of the team had Tech 20 or lower ships. Unfortunately a civil war broke out in Contingency around 3/25/2013. This resulted in Core and all of his accounts being booted from the team. Core owned a large portion of the defensive bases in Contingency space. With all of Core's bases out of the picture Contingency's team space was severely weakened.

The team Contingency was born on Nov. 25, 2012 by the merging of two teams; Hiigaran Empire and TheFederation. After a month of existence there was a change in Leadership. Shawn23G was asked to step down from his director position, and SwiftEagle take his place. Shawn23G quit Contingency that day and joined [http://wiki2.starsonata.com/index.php/Resident_Evil Resident Evil]. The team continued to grow and created a Defensive Alliance with the team Heaven. Shortly after the alliance was formed Heaven was attacked by [http://wiki2.starsonata.com/index.php/Resident_Evil Resident Evil]. Contingency defended Heaven for about two weeks and managed to kill nearly 7 Resident Evil galaxies. However, Heaven didn't participate in the war much so Contingency withdrew from the war and ended the Alliance. They now have a neutral position with Resident Evil.

Coming out of the war Contingency gained a positive reputation within the community and finished out that universe as the 10th best team. Going into a new universe they secured the 8th position in the team ranks even with the majority of their players still in Tech 20 ships.

Some time into the Universe of 02/16/13 Core was demoted to Officer. Some of of the team though he was talking risks. Some of these risks included making funny team log in messages, adding a few too many workers to Prod, and promoting one of his alts to Officer. A few days after being demoted Core then packed up the majority of his bases. Core owned a large portion of the Defensive and Extraction bases throughout Contingency space. Core's Production base was captured by CrakrJack, and core was booted. CrakrJack was promoted to Councillor to take the spot of Core. With Contingency team space severely weakened in the absence of Core's bases a force consisting of [http://wiki2.starsonata.com/index.php/The_Forgotten_Colonies The Forgotten Colonies], The Unforesceen Colonies, and Australia swept through Contingency team space on 4/1/2013 destroying nearly every galaxy. The motive for this attack is unknown, but was likely out of boredom based on the fact none of the teams made an attempt to capture bases, or claim the galaxies after they had been cleared, and Contingency had a neutral standing with all 3 teams prior to the attack. Contingency is no longer active and many of their members quit the game to never return due to the heavy losses...

I tried to be as non biased as possible when writing this.

On a personal note I (Core) did enjoy my time on Contingency up until the very last second. I've played StarSonata for 5 years and my time on Contingency was undoubtedly the best experience of those 5 years. I truly wish things played out differently.

This is where you start the missions chains within the area, also from here the station provides the missions to get [[Twisted Token|Twisted Tokens]] for killing the bosses in this area.

These missions will also auto-start when you enter the first level of the boss dungeons but you must have them unlocked by proving your worth by acquiring a [[Twisted Token|Twisted Token]] from killing the [[Twisted_Zone#Twisted_Fate_of_Death|Twisted Fate of Death]] mission.
