Heat Damage

Heat weapons are one of the 7 different damage types. Heat weapons are usually recognizable by pulses of flame like from the Death Warmed Over or the short-ranged flame-bursts like the immolation chain of weapons. However, there are red heat-beam style weapons like the fire beam and heat projectiles like the fire cannon. All heat weapons put a fire on the enemy ship and a large portion of their damage comes from the Fire. A critical hit with heat will damage your victim's radar.
