Only demand for the modded items will rise.

If it's useless unmodded before its' useless unmodded after the patch.

I think thats what KC is saying.

  • Changes to ruin tech items - no thread, but fairly extensive boosts to a lot of them

Ruin tech items are getting both boosts to stats and new chances of modifications on extracts. The two are independent of each other.

Every bullet point is a totally separate content development, more than likely done by a different content dev. In the case of Ruin tech items, one dev did the boosts to stats whilst Jeff himself wrote the code that gave a % chance of mods on extracts.

Remember - read each and every bullet point as an independent content addition, and much confusion will be removed.

Thx for the answer, but im aware of the bullet points and i did as suggested by thebattler mean the mod part only ;)

Im surprised though that the ruins get a beef, according to experience the prices on them usually droped badly.

Expl: 3bil to 1 bil BBHG; Mz Iko Drones from 650mil to 230. etc. ok i also know 1 rising example.. a meh jsut wanted to put that clear

Only one or two items had their extract costs changed. Most changes are minor, but these minor changes + possible mods should make ruin items useful again. I especially focused on the items that I received complaints about. If you have any complaints/suggestions, send me a forum message.

I assume that another micron course will be added soon as it appears right now that engines 21 skill is missing and did not see it on the 2 week list?

Jiji. Recently turned into a DoT weapon, as Jeff wants all Fire Weapons to be DoT, he told me.
A nice ideal for PvAI, one I like. For PvAI.
Jiji is the most commonly used SD PvP weapon.
Second to Emp Ray, which is superior but less common.
Jiji SDs such as myself were able to compete with Emp Ray SDs to a certain extent using Range and Stealth tactics, and so on. The main reason we can use range is Jiji has superior range, but decent damage.
The recent change lowered Jijis DPShot by over 100.
Large Fires are a side effect, to compensate.
Main problem is, SD PvP is not a DoT fight.
Mainly, SD PvP is over within seconds, or a few minutes.
Its about the HIGHEST damage IMMEDIATELY, SDs do not have the shields to constantly evade other SDs who have PWIs and ULs etc, while fires nibble a few shields off.
We tend to try kill in 1-2 bursts of damage, often 1 short chase.
DoT and fires have NO use or place in this PvP.
And Jijis are predominantly SD weapons.
Occasionally FC ones, again, for PvP.
Occasionally Sniper ones, again for PvP.
FC PvP is fast, since jijis are only used against SDs, so again, DoT is useless.
No clue in Snipers case.
But unless Jijis damage is returned to normal, and the DoT ideal removed from Jiji, Emp Ray will be the only decent SD PvP weapon.
Unless you are endgame, you dont stand a chance.
Where is the fairness in that, I always felt Jiji was a perfect stepping stone for the SD system.

Admin response please? ~pr0m

We're aware of concerns over Jijis, and conversely, concerns over F-pinger's ping being reduced; I suspect discussions will follow.

Anyone who noticed the OS / Giga Fission error, it has been hotfixed.

FPingers isnt too bad, since they can get an Amplified mod now. Amped mod, with 300% ping on top of that is basically around the current stats...
Albeit having said that, the odds are bad, so yeah, boost it.
I dont use it, but the fact that atm, my Herbal*Amped+Trans has better vision isnt...Good for everyone else :P

In hindsight of that comment, why not leave it, and make a higher tech one, with old stats on the other?
Also, whats the train of discussion like on Jiji atm?

So you lost 21 DPS, which is about 10%, and you get fire parasites as well. Doesn't seem like as huge a nerf as you're saying, prom.

Youre PvaI.
Youre on ZG.
Since SD PvP is so fast-paced, theres barely any time for Fire parasites to be of use.
Its about most damage dealt in the shortest time to get the kill, not fucking wait for them to stack and burn the enemy

What happened to the Battle Thatch? It has received quite a nerf from 18k to 3k hull?

Theory=/=practice.
They have PWIs too. ULs.
And parasite damage isnt immense. They CAN dock, you know.

Yeah, the cool thing about the fires is that they will keep taking damage even if they get out of your range. Plus, it doesn't take more than a few seconds to get the maximum number of fires on an enemy.
