Well.. this might be cliche, but...

we still don't have a linux / OS X client

This is by far the biggest bug. And no, just like all bad things, ignoring me will not make me go away.

Not neccesarily a bug, but a shortcut in the Star Sonata folder in the main menu might be helpful. I rarely ever have my Desktop open and I'm pretty sure people would appreciate a shortcut upon installation of the Chat Client in their main menu.

I've heard people saying that the warn command for chat mods doesnt work from the chat client.

I can input Japanese characters into the Star Sonata Chat Client whereas I can't do it with the regular Star Sonata Game. I'm pretty sure anyone else using the chat client views it as Japanese characters, but those in game get ???? so I'm thinking, either add support ingame, or remove support in the chat client before something messy arises.

闇の天使

Also. With regards to quotations. If I entered "Voom sucks for playing with my sig" people on the chat client can't see it but people ingame can.

Also..I'm pretty sure that the quotations glitch has already been mentioned but...Anything said on the chat client with quotations such as "Voomy sucks hairy balls" will NOT show up with anyone on the Chat Client, but will show up ingame with quotations

You are wrong about that one. I could see what you wrote.

aye mine too.

Also /f and /me doesnt seem to work.

And not a bug but maybe on the bottom right of the chat client where it list the channals then teammates logged in, maybe the third section could be your friends list?

The plan is to have the friends list there, yes, just haven't had time to add it. (we dont have a mechanism for notifying ppl when you login if you are on the list).

The "" bug is definitely there, i can tell you without even having tried it cause i know what would mess up. I use javascript to insert the messages into the browser (if i dont need a refresh) and the "" would mess that up. However if you change channels that triggers a browser refresh which would in turn show the "". I'll have it fixed by next time.

I tested the warn command and it seemed to work. Depending on whether the /f command is handled server side or client side then it would or wouldnt work. I'll look into it. The /me i just take over the /me part of it so it still looks like your typing. I'm not going to change that so don't as me to.

a suggestion for it....make it also online version, as in not downloading. that you can go to for example www.starsonatachatclient.com, log in there and use it. because at school i can't download anything, and i think if you're trying to get on it secretly it's better to just be on a site instead of downloaded

Proxy it. It's very easy to Proxy SS as well because you can manually input the server IP. Other games I have to run through FreeCap at school, but with SS I just run a tunnel and port forward through my school's firewall.

This is something I sorta thought about, but would require a ton of server side programming. It won't happen until I write a seperate chat server for the game. (Post client 2).

When I close the chat client by right-clicking the icon in the taskbar and pressing "exit", the process doesn't exit and the context menu is not available anymore. Icon stays in the taskbar.

I've encountered a pretty major problem with the chat client. I've got a pretty old computer that won't run the newest version of Java. Whenever I try running the client I get an error msg box telling me to check out the .log file..this is it.

I don't have a fucking clue about the finer points of computing but looks to me like my lack of newest Java is the prob.
So any chance you guys can make this a little more backwards compatible? After all I ain't the only one with an old PC playing SS.
