If you cant wait for the patch to see the new client performance, heres a link to download a test version. Keep in mind, this might/will have bugs in it. if you find any, feel free to report them in this post (bugs that are not in the current client)

This also wont fix bugs that are server side issue. But i made too many changes to the rendering code to just push that without further testings.

Just extract that in your ss2 folder and run it instead of ss2.exe

Fixed version is up.

1. Getting whole screen white flashes ... randomly in Echo DG when they happen.

2. SS froze when I tried to exit the DG in Echo. Tried again and after moving thru several gals once again SS froze... reverting back to more playable version... sorry Jey.

I'm off to watch the snail races... I've got $100 USD on EsCarGo.

no need to be sorry, its the whole reason why im not forcing a patch till its tested more. none of these issue you mentioned appeared on my testing rigs, so ill need some more information, what graphic settings did you use. What is your system specs (cpu, ram, gpu). Any details you think would make your case different from a regular testing setup (default settings/medium/high depending on the machine).

i think i found your white flash issue in dg. for some reasons the warping effect is utterly delayed XD. ill fix that, although i would still love to know the specific of your setup so that i can reproduce the stuttering issue

Post subject:  Re: Test the new client performance

mmm, thats definitly way too weird >_>.. there werent any significant changes per say XD. especially none related to spacebases not displaying ><. Im currently using it on all 15 machines without any issues, so im thinking it might be something more specific to your setup for some reasons.

Could someone else confirm if it work or not ?

I loose bases and most of everything else when I lag out. And thanks to AT&T I've been lagging out a lot lately :(((

Post subject:  Re: Test the new client performance

Have downloaded v2 no blinking and all my bases are here.

With all the check marks in the display fields I'm getting 37fps on high

with them all unchecked I am getting 45-50 fps on high settings and no lag. I have a low end machine and its nice to play again.

Thanks Jey keep up the good work
